About the Project

Founded in October 2024, Little Stars is committed to realizing the potential and promise that children brim with. The Initiative is driven by the mission of increasing access to social, emotional, and academic support for children living in orphanages. Through targeted initiatives, we hope to ensure that the children at these institutions are able to nurture strong foundations for their adult lives. 

Towards this end, the Initiative seeks to develop original educational resources in order to foster a spirit of camaraderie and community among the community of children living in orphanages. This includes creating a handbook that explores creative and low-cost community-building activities, as well as a series of children’s books, with the aim of boosting morale and kindling a sense of belonging. Little Stars also aims to raise funds in order to conduct donation drives of materials such as textbooks, stationery, bags, and tiffins for the children, and also to organize rehabilitative counseling sessions in association with licensed mental health professionals. Therefore, recognizing the profound psychosocial challenges faced by these vulnerable children and adolescents, our aim is to pave the way for a thriving community of strong and confident individuals by cherishing the way children deserve to be taken care of.
